If you already know Hoon Payon, you know the problem. After a while, every listing starts sounding the same — guard, protect, watch over the owner, follow commands. So if you want something much fiercer than the usual, don’t just look at another effect list. Look at what Ajarn Wanchai actually turned into the Hoon Payon.

Ajarn Wanchai made the entire body from the rope somebody died hanging from. He did not hide a few fibres somewhere inside just so we can add “suicide rope” to a long material list. He used the rope itself to form the whole Hoon Payon, then bound it with sai sin, yanted it and left it soaking for years inside Ajarn Wala’s Nam Man Prai.

And this is not normal rope. It was there when the person died. Thai occult belief treats that direct connection as exactly what makes suicide rope such heavy material. Traditionally, people believe it remains closely tied to the Phi Tai Hong — a spirit from an unnatural or violent death.

The Rope Was There When The Person Died

We have handled suicide rope a number of times over the years, and it is still one of those materials we will pick up whenever the chance comes. These things look like nothing — an old rope, a shirt, clothing somebody happened to be wearing when they died.

But people have long considered suicide rope legendary material in the darker side of Thai occult belief. The same goes for things actually used or worn when somebody commits suicide. The reason is simple: they were there when the person died.

For people who understand prai, that direct connection makes these things very different. It is not the same as simply adding cemetery soil, coffin material or another dark ingredient into an amulet.

Turning A Phi Tai Hong Into A Bodyguard

Phi Tai Hong are spirits from unnatural or violent deaths. With spirits like these, people often believe they carry whatever was left at the end — anger, sadness, resentment and sometimes outright vengeance. With suicide, that can be especially heavy.

A skilled Ajarn knows what to do with this kind of spirit. First, he has to appease the spirit. Then he can turn all that anger, sadness and vengeance into power and strength instead of leaving it running wild.

That is what Ajarn Wanchai did here. He took the suicide rope that, according to the belief, remained tied to that Phi Tai Hong. He appeased the spirit, then used the rope itself to make the Hoon Payon.

Through the Hoon Payon wicca, Ajarn Wanchai gave all that heavy energy another direction — guard, protect and answer to its owner. Basically, he took a Phi Tai Hong that was already angry, sad and full of resentment, appeased it properly, then turned all of that into a bodyguard.

It was already angry before the Hoon Payon even existed. Ajarn Wanchai knew what to do with that anger.

Bound With Sai Sin And Yanted

Ajarn Wanchai did not just twist the suicide rope into a human shape and call it finished. After forming the Hoon Payon, he bound the body with sai sin — holy thread used during Thai blessings and ceremonies. That is the lighter thread you can see wrapped around the pieces in the photos.

He then yanted each Hoon Payon according to his wicca. So before these pieces ever went into the oil, Ajarn Wanchai had already appeased the Phi Tai Hong, formed the Hoon Payon, bound it with holy thread and yanted it.

Only then did he put the finished Hoon Payon into Ajarn Wala’s Nam Man Prai.

Years Inside Ajarn Wala’s Nam Man Prai

And this wasn’t just any NMP. Ajarn Wala, also known as Ajarn Wara Prakarn, was a highly respected old-school Thai occult master from an earlier generation. He was especially known for Nam Man Prai and charm wicca.

Old accounts say he started learning Nam Man Prai and charm preparations at around 14 from a Khmer friend of his father. He passed away in 2005.

So genuine old pieces and materials from Ajarn Wala are already very difficult to come across today. More importantly for this piece, Nam Man Prai was one of the things his name was built on. Authenticated Ajarn Wara pieces from BE 2545 and BE 2547 also show pieces that spent time soaking in Nam Man Prai.

And these Hoon Payon sat inside Ajarn Wala’s Nam Man Prai for years. The photo shows the actual batch inside the jar.

These Hoon Payon Sat Inside It For Years

Soaking amulets in consecrated oils for months or years is nothing unusual in this side of the occult. This practice follows the belief that the material slowly takes in the oil together with its effects. The long soaking period also means a much longer period of chanting and consecration.

These did not get a few drops of NMP rubbed onto them before release. Ajarn Wanchai made the whole Hoon Payon from rope, so those fibres had years to soak up Ajarn Wala’s Nam Man Prai while he continued chanting over the pieces.

The whole Hoon Payon sat inside that oil for years.

Same Hoon Payon job in the end — guard, protect and follow commands. Just something much fiercer doing it.

Based on ancient & traditional beliefs, this is said to:

• Act as a fierce spiritual bodyguard for its owner.
• Guard against hostile spirits and harmful spiritual forces.
• Protect against people carrying bad or malicious intentions.
• Watch over the owner, home or business.
• Follow commands according to the Hoon Payon wicca.

Only a limited quantity came from this jar, and Ajarn Wanchai cannot simply make more whenever he wants. First, you need this kind of suicide rope, with the Phi Tai Hong traditionally believed to remain tied to it. Then you need an Ajarn who actually knows how to appease that spirit and turn all that anger, sadness and vengeance into strength.

The Ajarn still has to form the Hoon Payon properly, bind it with sai sin and yant it. After that come the years of soaking and chanting. In this case, those years were spent inside old Nam Man Prai from Ajarn Wala, a master who has already been gone since 2005.

That whole combination is not easy to repeat.

If suicide rope and Phi Tai Hong already make you uncomfortable, this is probably not for you. There are plenty of normal Hoon Payon around. This is for someone who already knows what a Hoon Payon does and wants something much fiercer, darker and more aggressive standing guard.
