Description
Ajarn Tom | BE 2563β2565 | Golden Edition β Only 4 Made | Size: β
Many people keep prai.
Far fewer keep the one traditionally believed to command them.
Phaya Yom, known across different cultures as Lord Yama, Hades, and ι»ηηΊ, is regarded as the King of Hell, Judge of the Dead, and Keeper of Fate. Different names, but the same authority.
What makes a Phaya Yom Bucha interesting is not simply protection. Traditionally, he is believed to sit above the spirits beneath him, including those already under your care. Because of this, many owners believe a Phaya Yom Bucha helps oversee existing prai, keep them in line, and strengthen their effectiveness, particularly those from the lineage of Ajarn Tom.
For many collectors, that alone is reason enough to keep one on their altar.
Only 4 Phaya Yom Exist. That’s The Whole Story.
This batch was first consecrated in BE 2563 and only released in BE 2565, after spending years under Ajarn Tom’s care and blessing.
It also comes from one of the very few periods where Ajarn experimented with resin casting, something he rarely did back then.
Most importantly, only 4 Golden Editions were ever made.
No second run. No remake. No next batch.
Like almost everything from Ajarn Tom, these were personally designed and handmade by him. The small differences, slight imperfections, and individual character of each piece are reminders that they were created by hand rather than by machine.
If you keep prai, you already know why this matters.
Not An Army. Enough.
One of the first questions people ask is how many spirits are inside.
Ajarn Tom stated that each piece contains a minimum of 10 prai, with additional ones placed around the exterior base.
That may not sound like a huge number compared to some other pieces.
But that was never the point.
This piece was not built around numbers.
It was built around who sits above them.
The base itself depicts Phaya Yom presiding over Hell and ruling over the various prai beneath him, exactly where he is supposed to be.
Even through the paintwork, and despite scratches accumulated from years of moving around, you can still see the amount of spirit materials packed inside. There are many different types at that.
Even Ajarn Said No.
One of the most interesting things about this piece happened when we asked Ajarn whether he could draw additional yants onto it.
Normally, that would not be a problem.
This time, the answer was no.
The reason was simple.
When these were originally cast, Ajarn had already drawn the entire inside completely with yants before sealing everything within the resin.
According to him, what was already inside was better than any yant he could draw on the outside.
Think about that for a moment.
A master who regularly adds yants to strengthen an item refused to add more because he believed what was hidden inside was already enough.
The entire interior was covered with yants, sealed away, and hidden from view before the resin was even poured.
That alone says a lot about the effort and intention that went into this batch.
The Phaya Yom That Arrived Bleeding.
The second thing was stranger.
When the pieces left Ajarn, they were dry.
When they arrived, they were wet.
The red paint had somehow become soft again and our fingers were stained handling them.
At the time, it almost looked as though the prai inside were bleeding.
Unfortunately, we never took photographs. We were more concerned about cleaning everything up than documenting it.
To this day, it remains one of the stranger experiences we have personally had with an item from Ajarn Tom.
The Difference Between Having Spirits And Commanding Them
Most people know Phaya Yom as the King of Hell and Judge of the Dead.
What many find more interesting is his authority over the spirit world.
Traditionally, it is said that if someone attempts to use underworld devas, prai spirits, wicca, saiyasart, or other unseen beings to manipulate or harm you, Phaya Yom Maharaj sits above them.
Not beside them.
Above them.
Because of this, many believe harmful spiritual attacks, Black Magic, and Sai Lang directed at the innocent can be reversed and returned to their source while the innocent party incurs no negative karmic consequences.
For many owners, protection is only part of the appeal.
The greater attraction is the belief that Phaya Yom oversees the spirits beneath him, including those already under your care.
