Description
Phu Lersi Pong & Phu Lersi Techo | BE 2568 | Special batch of 5| Size: 6 × 3.7 cm
How are you supposed to keep Hakom when the people at home already make a fuss over ordinary prai amulets? You want it for wealth, unpaid debts, perhaps even revenge against somebody who screwed you over. Yet the old accounts of Phaya Ghob Hakom, said to be a thousand times stronger than ordinary prai, speak of curses, possession and killing. Try explaining that at home.
That is why this particular BE 2568 release looks so different. Each figure has special paintwork and a colourful custom laser casing. With their long hair, seated figures and almost comical faces, they look ridiculously cute for something with such a nasty reputation.
Put one among your ordinary amulets and it would hardly look out of place. Even someone who cannot accept prai or darker wicca might see nothing more than a funny-looking little figure. They wouldn’t know what it was, much less why you wanted one.
Turn It Around, And The Joke Ends
Phu Lersi Pong and Phu Lersi Techo prepared an elaborate blend of prai and wan materials according to the Hakom wicca. The back of each amulet is densely packed with prai materials from numerous different Phi Tai Hong and Lukkok sources, together with takrut.
The front might make someone laugh. Turn it over, and there is a dark mixture of materials from multiple sources of the dead. From the front, the paint and casing give nothing away. But they do not turn Hakom into something gentle.
Phaya Ghob Hakom — The Lord of Ghosts
Phaya Ghob Hakom is not an ordinary prai. Old Kuy accounts describe a powerful practitioner, possibly an Ajarn or Lersi, who dealt with more spirits and dark wicca than he could control. Eventually, the spirits turned on him and overwhelmed him. What remained was no longer human, nor an ordinary wandering ghost. It became Hakom, a ghoul caught between the living and the dead.
Known as the Lord of Ghosts, Hakom is traditionally said to be a thousand times stronger than ordinary prai. The old Kuy tradition guarded this wicca closely, and not every practitioner would dare to touch it. Its reputation goes far beyond attracting a little luck.
Wealth, Gambling & Money That Refuses to Come Back
For many people, wealth is the main reason to keep Hakom. Business is slow, customers keep asking but never buy, or money just isn’t coming in. Others seek it for gambling and windfall luck, better sales and new financial opportunities.
Then there is money someone already owes you. They promise to pay, make another excuse, and disappear when you ask again. Debt recovery is one of the old uses of Hakom. According to old beliefs, Hakom pursues debtors, puts pressure on them and pushes towards repayment. The same harder approach applies to negotiations, disputes and settlements that keep getting delayed.
Hakom is also sought for saneh, attraction and influence, including gaining favour in business and personal dealings. Wishes, authority, command and getting stubborn matters moving also belong to its traditional wicca. However, that is only one side of Hakom.
Attack, Revenge & Retaliation
Someone cheats you, ruins your affairs or deliberately keeps coming after you. They think they can do it again and again, and nothing will happen. This is the part of Hakom that made even practitioners afraid to touch it.
The old accounts don’t stop at making an enemy unlucky. Hakom is said to pursue enemies, send curses and attack through possession. Some stories describe people becoming mysteriously ill, losing strength and wasting away until they resemble living corpses. The darkest accounts even say Hakom can kill through possession, destroying a living person from within.
This is where attack, revenge and retaliation go far beyond ordinary protection. Some seek Hakom to stop trouble. Others seek it because they want the person who caused that trouble to suffer.
Protection and defence also belong to Hakom. People traditionally seek it against enemies, black magic, curses and spiritual attacks. But the old accounts go further, describing retaliation against whoever was believed to have sent the harm in the first place.
That is the part people fear. The same ghoul sought for wealth, sales and charm also carries an old reputation for possession, curses, destruction and killing.
The Part Nobody at Home Needs to Know
This five-piece release is the exception in appearance, not a gentler Hakom. The special finish makes it easier to keep one among ordinary amulets, even at home where prai or darker pieces would cause arguments.
Someone could look straight at the little painted figure and laugh. They wouldn’t know about the Phi Tai Hong and Lukkok materials behind it. And they certainly wouldn’t know whether you kept it for money, a debt, protection or something much uglier.
Let them think it’s harmless. You know what you’re carrying.
