Description

Phu Lersi Techo | BE 2568 | Individually constructed and consecrated | Size: 9.3 x 5.9 x 5 cm (note: size measured using largest point, not base)

A lot of dark pieces in the market now look scary, but sometimes that is all there is. Skulls, blood, demons, teeth, ugly faces, symbols everywhere. Once you look past all that, there really isn’t much else.

This Mao Shan Vampire Coffin actually looks very simple from the outside. Small brown coffin, black writing, nothing much from the outside that tells you what is actually inside.

Phu Lersi Techo spent two weeks completing the whole thing. He invited and cultivated ghosts and spirits from both the Mao Shan and Thai sides. He raised the Mao Shan vampire together with them until the whole thing was ready. The owner does not need to raise it again after receiving it. It is already raised and ready to command.

Mao Shan Vampire Wicca

This is not the Western blood-drinking type of vampire. This Mao Shan vampire wicca works with yin energy, spirits, ghosts and demons. The method absorbs their essence and force and turns it into power.

Old Mao Shan methods controlled dark spirits, ghosts and demons and sent them against people or things that came to cause harm. The old teaching also says this kind of method protected villages in the past. They did not chase everything dark away. They controlled and used some instead.

The vampire is said to help with attraction, people favour, wealth and getting what the owner wants. It can make people favour the owner, help with wealth and opportunities, and help the owner fulfil wishes, ambitions and dreams.

If somebody deliberately comes against the owner, the same vampire can attack when the owner commands it. The owner can use it in spiritual war, and it can harm when the owner commands it.

It eats those who intend to harm its owner. This does not mean literally eating the flesh. According to the belief, it sucks and drains the person’s mental, spiritual and vital force — their strength, their energy, their spirit.

The Coffin

One part of the process used nine hand-written Mao Shan vampire talismans (符) across nine days. Phu Lersi Techo burned eight one by one during the daily cultivation. He burned one of the nine directly into the murn sarn, so the burned remains became part of the murn sarn itself and stayed inside the coffin.

He also wrote another Mao Shan talisman on cloth and made it into a takrut. This one remains inside the coffin. Most of the actual method remains secret.

Mao Shan Hua Zi & Thai Yants

Phu Lersi Techo wrote Mao Shan hua zi (花字) on the front and back of the coffin using the traditional method. Some of the black writing overlaps so heavily that it almost looks like a blot of ink.

Some hua zi overlap Chinese characters, mantra symbols and strokes until the original writing becomes difficult to recognise. Others look simple at first glance. However, within Mao Shan, hua zi serves as the key to activation. It directs, structures and anchors the talisman. Traditionally, overlapping the writing also kept others from easily copying it.

Phu Lersi Techo made the ink mainly from cinnabar and special materials he personally sourced. He prepared the ink himself, then wrote the talismans with the proper chanting and blessings. He could not simply choose another colour because black is part of this Mao Shan method. As a result, some of the writing is difficult to see against the brown surface.

After the murn sarn dried, it shrank and became loose enough for Phu Lersi Techo to remove it. He then wrote a combination of Mao Shan hua zi and Thai yants directly onto the murn sarn, including its underside, with further inscriptions inside the coffin. These would normally remain hidden once the murn sarn went back inside. He then chanted over everything and glued the murn sarn securely back into place.

For this particular coffin, the murn sarn has since come loose again. We have left it loose, allowing us to photograph the Mao Shan hua zi and Thai yants normally hidden from view. The new owner can also examine these inscriptions personally. We will keep the murn sarn loose as shown in the photographs, but can glue it securely back into place upon request.

Mao Shan × Thai Wicca

Both Mao Shan and Thai wicca were worked into the same coffin from the start.

The nine hand-written vampire talismans used during cultivation, another Mao Shan talisman on cloth in takrut form, the Mao Shan hua zi (花字) on the murn sarn and inside the coffin, and the Mao Shan vampire itself were all worked together with pong prai, gradook phi, gradook Lukkok, Nuer Hom, old murn sarn kept for many years, Wan powder, Thai yants and three Thai takrut carrying Thai wicca.

Phu Lersi Techo also invited and cultivated ghosts and spirits from both the Mao Shan and Thai sides together through the same process. He used both wiccas together because the belief is that mixing both makes the piece stronger than using either side alone.

He did not make a pile of identical coffins first and then give them one general blessing together.

Based on ancient & traditional beliefs, this is said to:

  • Attract people, favour, opportunities and wealth.
  • Strengthen attraction and make people more receptive towards the owner.
  • Help the owner get what he wants and fulfil wishes, ambitions and dreams.
  • Protect and guard its owner.
  • Deal with hostile spirits and forces.
  • Engage in spiritual fights
  • Attack or harm when the owner deliberately commands it.
  • Suck, drain and consume the mental, spiritual and vital force of people trying to harm the owner.
  • “Devour” those deliberately coming against its owner by feeding on their force.
