Ajarn Kitkamo | BE 2569 | Genuine Zippo | Individually Hand-Yanted

Most sacred pieces hang from the neck, sit inside a casing, or stay somewhere on an altar. These are a little different.

For this BE 2569 creation, Ajarn Kitkamo took genuine Zippo lighters and hand-engraved traditional Thai yants directly into the metal. Each piece carries a different combination according to what it is meant to push.

These are not generic flip-top lighters made to look like Zippos. The designs are not simply printed on for appearance either. Each one is a real Zippo, individually hand-yanted according to what that particular piece is meant to push.

More importantly, the four are not simply different designs of the same thing. The yants change, and so does the direction behind each one.

That is the simple version. The actual yants behind each combination make the differences much more interesting.

Yants on a Zippo Are Unusual, But Not New

Putting sacred yants onto something as ordinary as a lighter may look like a modern gimmick at first. However, Thai masters have done this before.

In 2017, Thairath documented a master personally jaring sacred Khom characters and yants onto everyday metal objects. His work included working lighters and actual Zippos. He even changed the inscriptions on some pieces instead of repeating one standard pattern.

So Ajarn Kitkamo did not invent the idea of putting wicha onto something functional. Instead, he took that idea in his own direction.

He started with an object already meant for the pocket, everyday handling and actual use. Then he put the wicha directly onto the metal itself.

Genuine Zippo. Yanted One by One.

Look closely at the four pieces and you can see that Ajarn Kitkamo did not copy one design repeatedly.

The characters change, the layouts change, and most importantly, the yant combinations change according to the purpose of each Zippo.

One goes towards people and opportunities. Another pushes much harder towards love. The third leaves saneh completely alone and concentrates on protection. Meanwhile, the fourth balances attraction with protection.

They may all start with the same genuine Zippo, but each gives you a very different reason to carry it.

No. 1 – Open Doors

No. 1 gives the broadest everyday combination.

One side carries Saneh, which pushes towards attraction, personal charm and better reception from the people around you. The other carries Chok Lap, turning towards luck, fortune and opportunities.

Together, the idea is very straightforward: people open up to you, while opportunities open up around you.

It does not go as deeply into love as No. 2. Nor does it concentrate everything into protection like No. 3. For someone who wants a broader everyday piece, this is probably the easiest of the four to carry.

Yants: Saneh + Chok Lap
Main Direction: Attraction, charm, luck and opportunities.

No. 2 – Stay on Their Mind

No. 2 takes the saneh considerably further.

Alongside Yant Saneh sits Thep Ramphueng – เทพรำพึง, a Thai saneh yant connected with love attraction. Traditional beliefs also connect it with drawing another person’s thoughts back towards the owner.

This separates it from simple general metta. Its direction moves more specifically towards love, attraction, longing and staying inside the thoughts of the person you want.

Even the idea behind Ramphueng carries the sense of dwelling upon or repeatedly thinking of someone.

The opposite side carries Itipiso Bhagava, which adds Pong Gan and protection behind the saneh. This makes No. 2 the strongest love-focused piece while still keeping a protective side.

If love or attraction brought you to these in the first place, this is the obvious one.

No. 3 – When Trouble Finds You

No. 3 goes in the opposite direction. It carries no love work and no saneh simply to make the piece cover everything.

Its main side carries Phra Chao 16 Phra Ong – พระเจ้า ๑๖ พระองค์. Traditional Thai belief strongly connects this old Buddhist yant with Kongkrapan and protective wicha.

The opposite side also pushes towards Pong Gan — protection, so both sides work towards the same general purpose.

For someone who wants protection in the pocket every day, rather than something for attraction, No. 3 makes the choice very simple.

Yants: Phra Chao 16 Phra Ong + Pong Gan
Main Direction: Protection, Kongkraphan and guarding against danger.

No. 4 – Pull Them In. Keep the Rest Out.

No. 4 sits right between saneh and protection.

One side carries Yant Saneh, while the other carries Itipiso Bhagava for Pong Gan. It does not go as specifically into love as No. 2. At the same time, it does not concentrate everything into protection like No. 3.

Instead, it gives a clean balance between both directions: draw the right people towards you while keeping protection behind you.

For someone who wants saneh for everyday attraction without giving up protection, No. 4 gives the most balanced combination.

Made to Live in the Pocket

Underneath all the yants, it is still a genuine Zippo. That is part of what makes this format work so well.

A Zippo already belongs in the pocket. You handle it, open it and use it. Ajarn Kitkamo simply turned the metal body into the surface carrying the wicha.

You do not need another casing before carrying it, nor do you need to turn it into jewellery.

Regular carrying may eventually leave marks on the metal. That is simply the nature of a Zippo. For this particular sacred piece, that feels more fitting than keeping it untouched forever inside a box.

Choose according to what you need first, then choose which one you actually want sitting in your pocket.
