In Chinese folk belief, 𝐇𝐞𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐢 𝐖𝐮 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠 (Black and White Impermanence) are enigmatic underworld guardians— 𝐁𝐚𝐢 𝐖𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠 (White) and 𝐇𝐞𝐢 𝐖𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠 (Black)—who escort spirits to the afterlife while discerning fate and fortune. Bai Wuchang is famed for bearing a tall hat inscribed “Become rich upon encountering me” (一见生财), symbolizing sudden blessings and wealth; Hei Wuchang, in contrast, enforces moral balance with inscriptions like “Rewarding the good and punishing the evil” (善恶分明) .
These deities have long been associated with not just death, but also protection and wealth—particularly when reverently invoked by those unafraid of impermanence’s power.
Businesspeople, sales professionals, and prosperity seekers seek their favor for luck and safeguarding.
Consecrated by Phu Lersi Techo, this talisman is a rare fusion of Taoist ritual, spiritual authority, and modern purpose.
Though constructed on traditional sacred paper, his consecration method “locks in” the energy for prolonged use. Carry it with you—inside your wallet or bag—and recharge it simply by circling it three times over a temple urn.
