Ajarn Tom | BE 2569 | Individually Handmade | Size: 9.8 × 6 cm

Money comes in slowly, business is dead quiet, and deals keep falling apart. Whatever opportunity comes along somehow ends up going to someone else. Worse still, you have people trying to screw you over, interfering with your business or stabbing you in the back. Yet somehow, they’re the ones enjoying all the luck.

Sometimes you don’t just want better luck. You want things to turn around. And if someone has been deliberately trying to bring you down, why should they be the ones enjoying all the fortune?

That’s where Prai Thong comes in. A Prai spirit kept for wealth, luck, wish granting and retaliation. Apart from drawing money and opportunities towards its owner, Prai Thong is also believed to guard against enemies. It can reflect their harmful intentions and even steal their luck and fortune. Instead of simply keeping trouble away, Prai Thong may cause those who deliberately harm its owner to lose their good fortune.

Prai Thong — The Golden Spirit

Prai Thong (พรายทอง), or Golden Spirit, comes from the wider tradition of Thai Prai Wicca. Unlike an ordinary blessed amulet, Prai Thong is an actual spirit. The owner can keep it, communicate with it and make requests. Wealth and fortune are among its main purposes, but that’s far from everything people traditionally keep it for.

Different Ajarns have their own ways of making Prai Thong, and the exact Wicca may differ between lineages. Some focus more on wealth, gambling luck and wish granting. Others also emphasise protection, retaliation and taking fortune from enemies. Historical records don’t clearly establish its exact origin. However, Thai occult practitioners have long kept Prai spirits for assistance.

Keeping Prai Thong isn’t simply about wearing it and waiting for something to happen. Depending on the Ajarn, the owner may also make offerings, recite prayers or perform merit-making. Always follow the actual instructions for the particular Prai Thong.

Ajarn Tom’s Hardcore Prai Materials

For this BE 2569 batch, Ajarn Tom has returned to the hardcore Prai materials he has gathered throughout his years of practice. He individually handmade each Prai Thong using a heavy mixture of Panneng, Gradook Prai, Nam Man Prai, Prai wax and cemetery soil. He also added many other ingredients associated with wealth, luck and wish granting.

We’re talking about actual Prai relics, bone, Prai oils, waxes and cemetery materials. Anyone who has followed Ajarn Tom’s older batches should know the kind of ingredients he has used for years. He collected and kept some of these materials long before he even planned this Prai Thong.

Ajarn Tom drew from his accumulated Prai materials and mixed them with other ingredients specifically associated with fortune and prosperity. He handmade each piece individually, using the same types of hardcore ingredients found in many of his older Prai amulets.

Wealth, Luck & Wish Granting

Money is naturally one of the main reasons people keep Prai Thong. Business going nowhere, customers drying up, deals that refuse to close, or simply needing more opportunities to make money. People traditionally keep Prai Thong to help turn these situations around.

Apart from attracting wealth and improving business, people also seek Prai Thong for gambling luck, windfalls and unexpected gains. It may help bring sudden opportunities to make money. That could mean a deal finally going through, someone unexpectedly bringing you business, or an opportunity appearing when you need it most.

But Prai Thong isn’t just about money. Wish granting is another major reason people keep it. Whether it’s a personal matter, a difficult situation or something you’ve been struggling with, you can make requests directly to the spirit. You can also seek its assistance with wishes you’ve been hoping to fulfil.

This is also why Prai Thong isn’t the same as keeping an ordinary wealth amulet. You’re keeping a Prai spirit you can communicate with and make requests to. You aren’t relying solely on the blessings of an amulet.

Protection, Retaliation & Stealing Enemies’ Fortune

Not everyone around you wants to see you doing well. Some will smile in front of you while quietly trying to ruin your business or damage your reputation. Others will interfere with your opportunities or openly create trouble.

Prai Thong isn’t just kept for attracting fortune. According to traditional beliefs, it can guard its owner against enemies, backstabbers, jealousy and people with malicious intentions. When someone deliberately tries to harm its owner, Prai Thong is said to retaliate by reflecting the harm and stealing that person’s luck and fortune.

Someone trying to ruin your business may end up losing their own customers and opportunities. Those deliberately trying to bring you down may find their own luck turning bad instead. Rather than simply blocking what they throw at you, Prai Thong is believed to take their fortune and bring it over to the owner.

This isn’t about stealing luck from random strangers. Prai Thong traditionally directs its retaliation towards those who deliberately wish its owner harm. The very people trying to bring you down may end up losing what they have, while your own fortune improves.

Ajarn Tom has spent years gathering and keeping these hardcore Prai materials. Now he’s brought them together for this BE 2569 Prai Thong. Wealth, wish granting, protection and retaliation, all centred around an actual Prai spirit the owner can keep and make requests to. And if someone deliberately tries to ruin your fortune, Prai Thong is traditionally believed to turn their own luck against them.
