Customers ask, bargain and disappear. Sometimes the opportunities are there, but the money never seems to follow. For those chasing better luck in business, sales or gambling, the two-tailed lizard, known as Jinchok Song Hang, has long been one of the old-school Krueng Lang people look for.

Something rarely seen in the market nowadays, and probably something that old-timers will have fond memories of.

This is a really old batch by Ajarn Nut, consecrated many years ago and found at his samnak.

Jinchok Song Hang — The Ancient Beliefs

The common house lizard, or gecko, is something most of us in Southeast Asia are familiar with. Yet across different countries, people have their own ancient beliefs surrounding these little creatures. Even their sounds, movements and behaviour can mean good or bad fortune.

In Thailand, people regard Jinchok Song Hang, the two-tailed lizard, as an auspicious creature that brings good luck and wealth.

According to traditional beliefs, finding one inside a house means good fortune may soon come to the household. Likewise, finding one in a shop or place of business is an especially good omen. People believe the business will boom, customers will come and money will keep pouring in.

Because of this, some would preserve and encase a two-tailed lizard after it died, then carry it as a good luck charm.

Old Thai and Lanna traditions also speak of two-tailed lizard wicca. Over the years, people have made such amulets from wood, exotic materials and, in more modern times, metal.

But of course, nothing quite beats the real lizard itself, if you can obtain one.

Wealth — Business, Gambling & Windfall Luck

There have been countless encounters and experiences passed down by those fortunate enough to possess a two-tailed lizard. Some speak of sudden windfalls and huge gambling wins. Others tell of unexpected increases in customers, sales and profits.

When it comes to Jinchok Song Hang, there has always been one main effect above everything else.

𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛.

And the wealth here does not mean gambling or windfalls alone. It also covers business, sales, commissions, career advancement and other opportunities to make money.

Apart from wealth, people also seek the two-tailed lizard for its Metta and Niyom properties. According to old beliefs, these help improve popularity, interpersonal relationships and favour from others.

After all, getting customers through the door is one thing, but getting them to actually spend their money is another. Likewise, work or business opportunities mean little when the people involved refuse to cooperate.

This is where Metta and Niyom come into play. People believe these effects can make others more willing to listen, cooperate and give you a chance. As a result, things that would normally be difficult may become easier to accomplish.

The two-tailed lizard also has a traditional reputation for protection against black magic, evil spirits and other negative influences.

An Old-School Krueng Lang That Was Once Extremely Popular

At one point, two-tailed lizard charms became so popular that fakes were practically everywhere, especially in shops targeting tourists.

Anything from two to sixteen tails, or even more. Factories were pumping out all sorts of imitations, unblessed and made purely for profit.

Of course, this old batch by Ajarn Nut is nothing like those factory-made souvenirs. Its original handmade casing is still there, and the consecration dates back many years.
Before we brought it back, Ajarn Nut also gave this Jinchok Song Hang and the other items one final blessing at his samnak.

Another reason for the popularity of Jinchok Song Hang is its reputation for being relatively easy to use. Despite its strong association with wealth and financial luck, people traditionally regarded it as a powerful yet straightforward Krueng Lang. They believed it required little coaxing to perform its duties.

Perhaps that was also part of what made it so popular in the first place. People could keep it with them for business, work, gambling or simply to improve their overall fortune.

For those seeking stronger financial luck, better business and sales, or unexpected windfalls, this old batch by Ajarn Nut is a rare find nowadays.
