Maker & Origin
The Maha Rangap Pra Hongsa Takrut from Luang Phor Pichan of Wat Phopakai stands among the most powerful wicca of the Ayutthaya lineage.
LP Pichan personally writes, rolls, and consecrates each Takrut with precision and focus. He remains the only living monk fully trained in the original Maha Rangap wicca, making his work extremely respected and rare.
Two variants exist โ the Normal Edition and the VIP (Gold Foil Covered) Edition, symbolising purity and royal prestige. Both share the same powerful yantra and sacred energy. However, the VIP version is often favoured by collectors and senior devotees for its amplified authority and magnetism.
Historical Significance
This Takrutโs legacy stretches back to the Ayutthaya era.
During wartime, King Naresuan the Great wore the Maha Rangap Pra Hongsa for victory and divine protection.
He triumphed over the Burmese Maha Uparaja (Mang Sam Kiat) in a legendary elephant-back duel, leading to the Burmese retreat and Thai victory.
From that moment, the Takrut became a symbol of strength, courage, and spiritual dominance.
The โPra Hongsa,โ or celestial swan, embodies purity, mastery, and wisdom. It represents rising above chaos, shielding oneself from darkness, and commanding respect from all beings.
Sacred Creation Process
LP Pichan follows the ancient method known as โDern Yantโ โ meaning โWalking the Yantra.โ
He inscribes each line while chanting sacred mantras that call upon the Buddhaโs power and the 30 Parami virtues.
The Maha Rangap Yantra features a complex structure of overlapping chambers and protective mantras, including the Maha Rangap, 30 Parami, and 8 Directional Itipiso.
After completion, he rolls the metal sheet into form and coats it with a mixture of seven rare sacred herbs (wan) that symbolise protection and energy purification:
-
Bai Rangap
-
Bai Pak Gachet
-
Bai Grateup Yot
-
Bai Chum Het Thet
-
Bai Ya Tai Bai
-
Bai Kae Kaao
-
Bai Samee
He sun-dries, grinds, and mixes these herbs with lacquer, creating a thick paste that seals the Takrut.
Afterward, he wraps it in sacred cord, coats it again, and cures it under sunlight until fully hardened.
Although the yantraโs design is publicly known, only true masters can awaken its wicca.
LP Pichan completes the blessing by chanting until the entire chamber becomes completely silent โ a sign that the Takrutโs spiritual energy has reached its peak.
