Description

Phu Lersi Pong × Phu Lersi Techo | BE 256x | Size: 5.2 x 2.5 cm

This Phra Pidta is carved from sacred black wood, traditionally known as Mai Niew Dam. In the Malay tradition, the same material is often called Penawar Hitam or Kayu Hitam. Across Thai and Southeast Asian traditions, people have long respected this wood for its grounding and protective qualities.

What makes this piece stand out is where the wood comes from.

The carving uses wood from the heart of the tree. This central core carries weight and pressure over many years. Because this part forms only a small portion of the tree and is extremely hard, craftsmen rarely use it. It also takes more time and control to carve. As a result, many makers avoid it altogether.

This particular batch remained in Phu Lersi Pong’s personal collection for many years. Later, Phu Lersi Techo personally sourced the wood, had the amulet carved by hand, and then co-blessed it together with Phu Lersi Pong over an extended period.

Instead of releasing the pieces immediately, they kept them privately. During this time, chanting and blessings continued. Only recently did they re-bless, re-chant, and yant the amulets before release.

Rather than using many materials or complex ingredients, this Phra Pidta focuses on clarity and restraint. It values clean material, proper lineage, and practical daily keeping.

What Is Phra Pidta

Phra Pidta is a traditional Thai amulet that represents closing off distractions and negative external influences. The image shows the figure covering the eyes. This symbolises turning inward instead of reacting to everything happening around us.

Because of this meaning, many people keep Phra Pidta for protection, emotional balance, and focus. Rather than drawing attention outward, it is believed to help the keeper stay calm, grounded, and less affected by stress, conflict, or outside pressure.

Over time, Thai belief also connected Phra Pidta with unexpected luck and steady prosperity, especially for people who work, trade, or make important decisions regularly.

Sacred Material — Mai Niew Dam / Penawar Hitam / Kayu Hitam

Sacred Black Wood has been used for a long time in Thai and Southeast Asian traditions. Many people believe it helps create a sense of protection and keeps the energy around the keeper steady and grounded. For this reason, makers often prefer to use it on its own, without mixing it with other materials.

People commonly believe this wood can help with:

  • Protection from harm, bad luck, and unwanted situations

  • Better money flow and financial opportunities

  • Positive attention, goodwill, and attraction from others

  • Feeling calmer, more stable, and emotionally grounded — meaning less overthinking, fewer emotional swings, and a steadier response to stress or pressure

These beliefs come from long-term use and shared experience. They developed through practice over time, not from written rules or theories.

Why People Keep Phra Pidta

Phra Pidta is commonly kept for protection and inner stability. Instead of amplifying emotions, it is believed to help reduce distractions and emotional noise. Because of this, many people feel it supports clearer thinking and better judgment.

At the same time, Thai belief links Phra Pidta to unexpected fortune and steady prosperity, especially when paired with effort and discipline. This balance is why it remains popular among business owners, professionals, and long-term practitioners.
