A Rare Hand-Drawn Phayant
Among Thai sacred objects, hand-drawn phayant are one of the rarest forms of wicca creations. Unlike printed yantras or factory-made ritual cloths, a true phayant carries the intention and spiritual focus of the Ajarn who created it.
For this piece, Phra Ajarn Dtutop of Wat PhaPhai personally drew every phayant by hand.
He did not use printing plates.
He did not duplicate the design.
He did not delegate the work.
Each piece therefore carries its own unique lines, character, and spiritual intention, reflecting the moment the Ajarn created it.
What Makes This Phayant Special
Several things make this piece particularly unusual:
• Only six pieces exist in total
• The Ajarn personally hand drew every phayant
• He kept the pieces under blessing for six years
• They were never widely marketed or publicly released
• They circulated quietly through the Ajarn’s lineage
Because of this, encountering one today is extremely uncommon.
A Respected Master from Chiang Rai
Phra Ajarn Dtutop lives in a small rural village in Chiang Rai.
Within the region, many devotees know and respect him. People often travel to seek his blessings and guidance. Much of his reputation spreads quietly through word of mouth among devotees who have experienced his wicca.
Outside the region, however, he remains largely unknown.
He does not actively promote his work or produce amulets for the wider market.
Instead, he follows a traditional approach to wicca practice. He performs the work himself and creates pieces slowly according to lineage instructions.
This approach values discipline, sincerity, and spiritual integrity over quantity.
It also explains why this phayant exists in such a small number.
Six Pieces — Six Years of Blessing
For this wicca, the Ajarn created only six phayant in total.
He drew each piece by hand according to the instructions of the lineage.
After completing them, the Ajarn kept the phayant under blessing for six years, from BE 2561 to BE 2566.
During this period they remained with him as part of his ongoing prayers and wicca practice.
Six pieces.
Six years of consecration.
After those six years, the Ajarn quietly allowed the phayant to leave his possession.
He did not widely market or publicly distribute them. Instead, over time the pieces found their way into the hands of devotees and collectors who encountered them through the lineage.
In traditional Thai wicca, pieces like this are rarely promoted openly.
More often, they are simply encountered when the time is right.
Phra Narai — Divine Protection and Balance
At the centre of this phayant stands Phra Narai, the Thai form of the Hindu deity Vishnu.
In Thai spiritual tradition, Phra Narai represents divine protection, balance, and righteous authority.
During the Ayutthaya era, Thai kings often regarded themselves as earthly reflections of Phra Narai. Because of this connection, Narai became closely linked with leadership, justice, and the restoration of order.
For devotees, his presence symbolises the ability to restore balance when life becomes unstable or difficult. He also protects righteousness and restores order when injustice appears.
Ong Kan Yant — Protective Authority
The Ong Kan structure of this yant represents protective authority and sacred command.
In traditional wicca practice, yantras like this create a spiritual boundary of protection while invoking higher protective forces.
When combined with the presence of Phra Narai, practitioners traditionally associate the phayant with:
• stability during difficult periods
• stronger authority and confidence
• protection from harmful influences
Many devotees see phayant not simply as drawings, but as living ritual diagrams created through wicca practice.
𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 – –
Based on ancient & traditional beliefs, this is said to:
• Turn bad luck into good luck
• Protect against danger and accidents
• Protect against black magic and negative spirits
• Strengthen authority and leadership presence
• Improve career, business, and opportunities
• Attract benefactors (贵人) and reduce harmful people (小人)
• Stabilise luck during difficult periods
• Bring protection and spiritual balance
Some also believe such pieces may help support good health and longevity.
A Rare Encounter
With only six pieces created and blessed for six years, this phayant represents a style of sacred creation rarely seen today.
Pieces like this are not usually produced in large numbers, nor widely circulated.
More often, they simply appear in the lives of those who encounter them at the right moment.
For collectors of rare ritual objects, or devotees drawn to the protective authority of Phra Narai, this phayant stands as a quiet but meaningful artifact of traditional Thai wicca practice.
