Dragon Turtle, while lesser seen in Thai context, is similar to the Chinese varient of it, featuring a head of the dragon, along with the body of a turtle, with famous makers of it like LP Liew, and LP Pinak.
Similar to the Chinese, it is seen as a symbol of prosperity, longevity and protection.
Casted from a special blend of many different type of Leklai, the blade was casted in a way similar to Damascus steel, which uses metal of different carbon level, sandwich together and repreatly striked and folded, to create a unique blade design.
While the actual list of Leklai used is kept secret, this is just a small list of example, of the possible type of Leklai used:
-Leklai Nampu (Supreme protection, Invincibility)
-Leklai Jet See (Prosperity, luck)
-Leklai Thong (Wealth, leadership)
-Leklai Ploi Fa (Spiritual energy, wisdom)
-Leklai Ngern Yuang (Protection, healing)
-Leklai Tabtim (Power, courage)
-Leklai Phaya Nag (Naga Leklai, strong mystical energy)
total there were only two made; one for Lersi Pong ritual use in Thailand, and this smaller one, which was originally meant to be for when they travel.
Do note that this is just a list of examples, as the actual list wasn’t revealed, but we understand that some of the Leklai used were of a extremely rare varient, found deep inside Treacherous caves,
With a blade so special, of course the exterior can’t just be a plain old handle and sheath, so for it, two types of wood, and Krang (เธเธฃเธฑเนเธ), which is a material believe to supercharge anything it is attached to.
The two woods are, interesting enough,
-From a water tub use for flower bath
-From part of a tub use to bath buffalo.
Materials like these are highly unusual, but the same theory applies, which is that everything in itself has energies of it’s own, and can attract and or absorb the energy of others.
In this case, the usage of these is the belief that the blessing, and also the energy of the buffalo, are within these wood itself.
It is then hand carved, before being fully covered in engraved yants on the front, and back of the shell.
A excellent piece, which is not only powerful, but beautiful as well, and comes with a custom stand with Lersi’s yant on it.
