The word “Lersi” (or “Ruesi”) comes from the Sanskrit “Rishi”, meaning sage or seer—those who have renounced the material world to pursue deep spiritual insight and magical power.

Among the many Lersi sages, Narod stands out as a powerful master of magic, meditation, and supernatural arts. His roots trace back to ancient Indian and Khmer Brahmanic traditions, which later blended with Thai Buddhism and animist beliefs.
