This is the first โ€” and only โ€” batch of rian or amulets depicting Lersi Pong. To this day, thereโ€™s no official release of any other rian, locket, or Roop Tai featuring his image, despite numerous requests.

This is due to a longstanding belief among many monks and masters that if their baramee isnโ€™t strong enough, creating such an item can lead to an untimely death โ€” a superstition backed by cases where some fell ill or passed away soon after making their own image in amulet form.

Some say that choosing a rian โ€” a flat, metal representation โ€” instead of a more lifelike form, helps ease this danger.

There are, of course, many other possible explanations, ranging from humility, ego-avoidance, or simply following tradition, but whatever the case, this is the only batch, consecrated 16 years ago, when Lersi Pong was much younger โ€” and may very well be the only batch that will ever exist.

The rian depicts Lersi Pong in his younger days, wearing his Lersi robe and with a full head of hair โ€” a look that some say is barely recognizable today.

We have included a photo from that period to aid in identification.

On the back, thereโ€™s an image of Wua Tanu โ€” a powerful guardian spirit and a form of magical protection for which Lersi Pong is well known. The Wua Tanu is a small bull-shaped amulet used to ward off danger, protect its ownerโ€™s home, fend off black magic, and keep away ill-wishers and harmful spirits.

Often made from metal, resin, bone, or a combination of materials, a Wua Tanu is infused with magic through ceremonies, chantings, and blessings by a master.

Some say it stands guard over its owner, much like a loyal warrior or a spirit animal, adding a strong layer of safety and peace.

Together, this unique rian combines Lersi Pongโ€™s baramee, his powerful magic, and the protective spirit of the Wua Tanu, making it a truly extraordinary piece โ€” a collectible, a manifestation of magic, and a guardian for its owner.
